Numbers can be too depressing, and not seeing the scale move significantly after you've worked so hard on a good program can really make you lose your motivation. With that being said, if you want to keep track of your weight, I read that you should only weigh yourself once a week at the very most. It was fun to see how much progress there was in that much time. But now I've backslidden and have to hit it again seriously! Burn more calories that you take in. I don't want to go against Walker, but for me, I would weigh in. It will encourage you if you see the scales drop even a pound or two...then lose another pound or two. Getting started is the hardest part.DDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01912324534961704540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6319926884429679355.post-87292251584843555022011-09-17T07:56:34.025-05:002011-09-17T07:56:34.025-05:00Have you read the blog A new Dawn for me? Dawn loses weight without weighing in, she only uses sizes and how clothes fit on her to measure her progress.

She wrote a little bit about how that felt just recently:

http://anewdawnforme.blogspot.com/2011/09/no-scales-have-been-selected.html

Good luck with your new scale free life! :)Undercover Dietinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02794551823105433176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6319926884429679355.post-39853079346622713112011-09-17T07:35:55.681-05:002011-09-17T07:35:55.681-05:00It sounds like your Walker is on the right path. ...It sounds like your Walker is on the right path. Your car is cool. Joe doesn't like red but I do. My husband has a problem staying up to 156 to 160. I do not have that problem! I could stand to lose about 30 pounds, but I doubt that I will lose them anytime soon. Love it. What a change in style and color indeed.

Now with the weight issue, I have the same problem. I think that watching the scales works for me...but not all who keep track daily will see any significant change. He may be right on for you. [some people never gain and can eat anything and everything, huh? Bud is the same.] But honestly, for me, I think it's the heart medication that has put on the pounds in my case. You may perhaps check and see if your meds are adding pounds. I know there is nothing you can do about it, 'cause we all have to take our meds to keep healthy and alive ---if you take meds--- But, for me finding that the drugs I'm taking puts on weight, gave me peace of mind.

Desert Shadows and Week's Summary is my day's post link if you'd care to join me.

Have a glorious weekend.Hootin Annihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08811326085498312568noreply@blogger.com
