The heat just does not let up. Driving home from work at 3am it was still nearly 90*, with so much humidity in the air it looked like I was driving through clouds. When I can't stand it another minute, I close my eyes and remember this:
What I wouldn't give to take a dip in that ocean right about now! Of course, it was way too cold to swim when we were there in November 2009. Still, staring at this photo is a nice escape. Happy Friday, everyone!
We cooled off a little yesterday but still some humidity and got to 85, Today it is raining and I put my petunias out on the steps in the dark. It was just ready to start breaking day. The rain was chilly. I think it is supposed to get up to about 89 and will probably be humid again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! That is one area I have never been, that is if it is where I think it is. Looks like the north California coast. I am familiar with the southern CA beaches.
ReplyDeleteHot quite as hot here as it has been, but still around 90º.
I'm going to keep that imagine in my mind for an afternoon here in south Texas.
ReplyDeleteI am so envious! Here it is cold and rainy - we've had the most boring summer ever, and I'd love some heat! But of course, heat is not so fun if you can't go swimming.... That picture looks like heaven, and you can't tell it's too cold to swim :)
ReplyDeleteHoe you had a great weekend. I was more down and out but feeling better now.
