Writer's Block

I wish I had some fun stories to share with y'all, but I don't.  It's been a whole lot of work and not much else around here.  Doesn't make for many interesting posts.

The truth is, I feel like my life is on hold, like I'm just marking time til Spring.  We have lots of stuff on the calendar, just not for a while.  We didn't even get to go to the winter carnival this year; there was no winter and no snow, so the carnival activities were cancelled.  Can't have a snow sculpture contest when it's 45* outside. The annual festivities at the ski hill ain't gonna happen, either.  I guess the price you pay for lovely mild weather is all your "normal" entertainment goes away.

  1. We have not had much winter weather either. It is 77º this minute at 5:00 PM. Supposed to be much cooler for a few days now. Hope that change doesn't make me sick.

  2. I'm sorry to hear all your WINTER festivities got cancelled. I know how much you must have looked forward to them. Must confess, I LOVED these warmer temps. LOVED them. Your trip will be here sooner than you can imagine. So let the blahs disappear. Take care.

  3. It is winter here yesterday and today and I am kind of glad we didn't have a bad winter so far since we have to have the grandkids scoop for us. We had some darn cold weather though. Joe is still trying to get over the worst cold he has had since I met him 44 years ago.

  6. It's really been a weird winter for Minnesota this year, for sure. We have had record amounts of snow for February - the most in Denver since 1912, I think it was. We haven't had such huge amounts, but have had quite a few snowfalls. We sure do need the moisture, so I try not to complain. My aggravation is when they call off school for a snow, which doesn't seem necessary to me - too much Minnesota in my blood, I guess. I have had writer's block a lot lately.
