A Frozen Watery Wednesday, Outdoors

Not sure what's going on with our wild weather, but this week we were treated to a freak spring snowstorm. And storm it did - about eight inches of heavy, wet snow blanketed the landscape, shut down schools, and snarled traffic.  Here, bits of snow and ice are caught in a lilac bush that had started to bud out.

  1. It's always so disheartening to see the Spring growth freeze under blankets of snow!!

  3. We have had the coldest day of spring??? at least that is what they tell me, yesterday. I just hate winter weather in spring.

  4. We have had snow also, but not as much. So far, April has been a lot like March, except the days are longer. I'm glad lilacs are hardy!

  5. Ou no, you poor people. They say new snow kills the old snow so maybe you get good weather after this. I really hope we wont get that snow here.

  6. Each snowstorm brings you one more closer to spring unless the weather is totally out of whack.
